#let it go (Unwind Wednesday)
The practice of intentionally acknowledging and then letting go of something that is bothering you can be very powerful. It doesn't mean that whatever you let go of will go away instantly or forever, but often it is the beginning of a gradual release. That first step of simply giving yourself permission paves the way so that each subsequent attempt to free yourself from that source of stress becomes easier and easier.
2020 has been an unusual and memorable year. Take a few moments to recall and then release the parts that were more difficult. Then, savour the parts that were good and gently release those too. Embrace equanimity and learn to view both pleasant and unpleasant feelings and experiences with equal measure. They both serve to make our lives richer, more meaningful and whole.
