#gratitude for others (Unwind Wednesday)

I don't know about you, but I could use a little extra warmth these days. We are 5 days into a "cold snap" with at least 3 or 4 more to go before we get a reprieve. On the bright side, I suppose that one benefit of the COVID restrictions is that many of us are working from home and thus don't have to brave the cold to drive to work or go out for other activities.

Today, instead of focusing on and cursing the bitingly cold weather, I challenge you to notice and appreciate the smallest gestures of kindness bestowed upon you by others and express your appreciation. You might thank your partner for making your coffee this morning, appreciate a colleague who greets you with a smile and asks how your day is going, express thanks to the person that holds the door for you, or recognize the conditions under which the mailman is working today to deliver your mail. Actively look for these tiny expressions of kindness and let them warm your heart, nose and toes! 😊
