Physical touch calms us down, reduces our stress response and releases oxytocin, a hormone that creates those warm fuzzy feelings of bonding, trust and connection. With physical and social distancing rules in effect, we can feel more disconnected, so take a few moments today to hug someone in your household or permissible social circle. And make it a good long one - at least 10 seconds or more!
